A How To: Transferring your Tabi Account to Another Device!

General reminder: you should ALWAYS save your ID number and passcode. Without them, its IMPOSSIBLE to recover your account. Keep it backed up in a cloud so that you won’t lose it. Why? Because, if something unexpected happens, like if you accidentally uninstall the game and your data disappears, you can still transfer your data back to your device by going to data transfer and follow the instructions below. 

Another reminder: Notice that there’s a date and time written underneath your password and ID. That’s when the latest saved file was created. Always make sure to update your progress as often as possible, because if you last saved on, let’s say, March 15th 17:48 and you decide to transfer your game on May 29th 11:58 and you don’t make a new save file, you’ll lose all the progress you made since March 15th 17:48. Save as often as possible and keep track of your ID and password. Always transfer from a freshly made saved file.

So you got a new device recently because your old one was a piece of utter crap/spontaneously combusted/took a swan dive into a pool/etc. And, you’re worried that you might have to completely restart your game without anything at all. Don’t worry! The Tabi Staff have prepared for this scenario! 

First, lets start from the main menu. 

On the bottom there are three buttons; 設定 (settings), デーた引継ぎ (data takeover) and プロローグ (prologue). The button you’re looking for is in the middle, デーた引継ぎ. Go ahead and press it on both of your devices. 

Upon pressing the デーた引継ぎ button, you’ll arrive to this screen with informative text (translated below) 

A few precautions to take: 

Make sure that the data you’re transferring is updated to the latest saved file.

  • When transferring data to different operating systems, your Platinum Matsu Coins will not be transferring over. We highly recommend that you use them before transferring your data.
  • You cannot transfer saved photos (arphoto) into your new device. 
  • The data that is transferred over will be the latest saved file & version. 
  • When you’ve accepted these terms you can go ahead and press the button that says はい (okay). 

On your old device, update your save file to the latest version by pressing the upper button that says 引継ぎデータ最新に更新 (update takeover data to the latest version). 

Your user ID and password has now been issued. 

ウーザーID (user ID): 

パスワード (password):

Input the info on your new device to transfer the data. 

On your new device, input your user ID in the box that says ウーザーID入力 (user ID input) and your password in the box that says パスワード入力 (password input). Then press the lower button that says データを引継ぐ. 

And that’s it! Congrats!  Now go have fun playing Tabimatsu on your new device!
